Out with old in with the new. It was only a matter of time before you pitched these great VHS tape drawers {FYI my parents still have them} for a brand new metal DVD tower {circa 2001} to display your ever growing collection of DVDs. What about the home video collection hanging in the dust? Maybe it's still in one of these drawers hanging out in the attic or chilling in the basement. Update them too and bring them back to life.

Old technology has been resurfaced.
Came across this old gem in an antique market. Its been dusted off and opened up once again. Although after going through the manual we're still not quite sure what you would do with this pocket computer. Old-Computers.com has the basic info on it and tells us it was manufactured in 1982.
We just can't help finding some humor in this Sharp PC-125 computer. I guess if it doesn't connect to the internet, really what's the point? Our iPhones are smaller and do a million more things, amazing how far we have come in 32 years.

5 Reasons Why You Should Convert Your Home Videos to DVD Now.
Photo scanned by DittoBee and published with client permission.
We at DittoBee Photo Scanning LOVE home videos! There is just something special about accidentally leaving the lens cap on or recording the ground for 5 minutes because you forgot to stop recording {and of course the reaction when you realized it} or the shy child running from the camera. Although today it's much easier to capture footage on our phones we don't capture the moments quite like we used to.
In the "old days" we recorded the entire birthday party {not just blowing the candles out}, this included interviews of well wishes, everyone having a good time, the pizza coming out of the oven, the clown's full act, everything.
To have those videos is a treasure not just for those in the videos but for future generations. The best part of our business is preserving memories and the worst is hearing the stories of memories lost. Below is 5 reasons you should gather your home videos together and get them to us to transfer them immediately!
#1: The magnetic tapes degrade over time leaving you with a poor quality video.
#2: Unexpected environmental occurrences such as flood, fire or tornado will destroy your videos.
#3: As technology evolves the old players are harder to find and will become unavailable.
#4: Once digital, video editing is a breeze with simple software.
#5: Preserving your memories for future generations is the best gift you can give.

Creating a cardboard playhouse may be one of the best childhood pastimes.
We scanned this photo today at our Palm Coast location and it instantly brought me back to my childhood and the fun my sister and I had creating houses out of cardboard boxes our mom brought home from the appliance store. I wish we had some pictures of ours because it is one of my strongest memories as a child.
She would give a new set of markers and we would spend hours upon hours decorating that box. We would color flower boxes right under the windows, curtains on the inside, grass around the bottom everything under the sun until there was no more available drawing real estate on the box and the markers were all dried up.
After a quick online search today I discovered the old cardboard box playhouse has come a long way since this photo and my sister and I's time. The architecture of today's boxes probably belong in the pages of Architectural Digest {I did search that too but they haven't been featured yet}.
Let us scan and digitize your childhood memories. Now is the perfect time to bring your old photos back to life and into the digital world.

Home Movie Night!
Nothing is better to my husband, Will, and I than a night in watching home movies! We love the shots when the "actors" don't realize their on camera as much as the ones where the performance is only for the camera. Reliving those moments through the eye of a video camera is a wonderful experience.
We just completed Dori's super large shoebox filled with 57 home videos. She will have many home movie marathon nights in her future. Click here!
